Music Background

My interest in music started at a very young age with learning the Piano.  In school, I played Trumpet and Baritone in the marching and concert band.  During my college years, I completed music theory classes and played Trumpet in the college jazz band.  I got my first Guitar at age 15 and joined my first band at age 19. Over the years, I joined multiple bands in Ohio, California and Arizona as a Lead Guitarist.  My interest in all types of musical genres drove me to learn Banjo and Ukulele.  I have been teaching multiple instruments to family and friends over the years.  Please visit my music website at billgeorgemusic.com.

Technical Career

I am a technology professional with a 40+ year career leading development, implementation, and support of technology projects. I have expertise in market data, project delivery, people management, production support and vendor management.  I retired in 2023 as a Senior IT Project/People Manager with Charles Schwab, a financial services company.  I have a Master of Science degree in Statistics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

Music Instruction

I am currently teaching Guitar, Piano, Banjo and Ukulele at Guitar Center, Phoenix and Scottsdale Arizona locations to students of all ages and backgrounds. I employ a variety of teaching methods to engage students including method books, exercises, ear training, artist songs and music theory.
